Frozen and crusty
December is here, not only it means Christmas, it also means that the chilly mornings are back, finally. Time to get our best equipment out and enjoy the frosty landscapes ! In the UK the weather can be strange and the winter takes his time to come.
Personally these mornings are amongst my favourites. I love how it feels to have an early walk with that kind of weather, freezing yes but there is something more about it.
Like a child I will have fun walking on the frozen grass, the crunch it makes is nice to hear :)
Are you more of an hibernating bear or are you enjoying a good winter walk ? Let me know in the comment section !

Lava flood
In December 2017 my newly husband and I went in Hawaii for our honeymoon. What a trip that was... Stunning views, amazing people.. So much memories.
We visited Big Island and O‘ahu Island, and of course the big sight during this trip was the lava field. Such an amazing feeling, I can't describe it to you, especially for me who wanted to see lava since I was a little girl.
We had a guide with us, of course. Don't do that walk alone !! So many tourists are thinking it's ok and are doing the walk to the field alone and then get lost because the night is already here. And I'm not talking about the accidents occurring because you don't know where to walk, only a certified guide will ensure your safety. Sometimes it seems safe to you but without the guide you could have burn badly your feet just because it's not easy for tourists like us to recognize where it's hot and where it's safe.
One thing I really loved it's the old lava patterns. All the folds the lava makes is, to me, amazing to watch. I spent a fair amount of time just contemplating it.
It really was a trip of a lifetime and I don’t think I will ever see lava like this again or even go to Hawaï again. Also during this trip I saw a whales jumping out of the water, I never thought that would happen to me one day especially considering where I’m living and the conditions you need to see that. I will remember it for a very long time.
