Canal walk

Basingstoke canal

Last Saturday I went to the Basingstoke Canal, in Surrey. I've been walking around but never done it and I've been curious about it since a long time, the weather was perfect so off I went. It's a very long canal (49,89 kms - 31 miles) and I did 25 kms (15,53 miles) round trip on it. From Woking to the Basingstoke Canal centre.

Strangely enough, there isn't many people walking around which makes it even more magical.
I find the end of summer the best time to wander around, it's peaceful and the colours are slowly starting to change which offers a beautiful display.

All along the canal there are some old constructions and old wood "doors" acting as dams.

If you're looking closely here you'll see deers between the trees <3

A walk that I'll definitely do again and again. I love this place and I can't wait to see how beautiful it will be in the middle of the fall.
